God Receives Non-Compliance Notice From HOA For Unapproved Tree Removal

(Heaven)

During a press conference at the Pearly Gates on Friday, a spokesperson for Heaven announced that God received a non-compliance notice from the Brandermill Community Association for failure to seek approval prior to felling numerous trees in the neighborhood during the previous week’s storm.

“We’ve consulted with our attorneys, and they are in agreement that the storm is considered an act of God, so we’ve decided to hold Him responsible,” the BCA Compliance Office told us following the press conference. “His status as a higher being may give Him certain privileges, but He is not above the covenants of this HOA.”

When asked whether He would pay the fine, God responded that He would, as ever, lead by example: “Give to the HOA what belongs to the HOA, and to God what belongs to God,” He said.

“Plus, I don’t want this whole thing to negatively impact my credit score,” God added.
