Seeking Neighborhood Teen to Build Pool Clubhouse

By Deborah Pennywise

Hey there, neighbors!

I’ve received several quotes from local contractors for the construction of a new, state of the art clubhouse at North Beach Pool, and boy are they steep! I can only assume they’re trying to take advantage of an older person like me.

Is there any chance a neighborhood teenager is looking to make a few bucks before school starts next week? It can’t be that difficult or time consuming to build a 3,000 square foot, commercial grade facility to serve as a clubhouse for a community of 13,000 residents.

If you know a teenager that's interested, I could pay them with whatever cash I happen to have in my purse at the moment. I also have a few Regal Cinemas gift cards that may or may not have expired. I’d much prefer to give a teenager some pocket change than pay a professional a living wage.

Thanks in advance!
