Breakroom Motivational Poster Inspires Entire Staff to Quit Their Jobs

Local businesswoman Christine Banglestorm, owner of Swift Creek Medical Supply, reported on Tuesday that her entire staff quit after reading a motivational poster recently hung on the wall of the office breakroom.

The poster simply read, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life” and featured a dated photo of a skier carving fresh powder on the side of a mountain.

Ms. Banglestorm tacked the poster to the breakroom wall late Monday evening, hoping it would inspire her employees to overcome a recent slump in sales. Unfortunately, the poster produced a different result.

“As soon as I read the quote on the poster, I knew what I had to do,” said former employee Trip Dabbles. “I thought, yeah, it is the first day of the rest of my life, and I don’t want to spend it working here.”
